      • At the invitation of the Maryland Health Care Commission, is an integral part of the regulatory process to implement regulations and ongoing performance measures as a member of the newly established Clinical Advisory Group.
      • Fights to establish law and regulations in order to ensure consistency with guidelines developed by the American College of Cardiology and other cardiovascular organizations to promote heart health.
      • Hosts Heart Health Day in February in the capitol complex in Annapolis with the American Heart Association and the Women's Caucus bringing over 150 lawmakers and staff to a health healthy breakfast, blood pressure screening and one-on-one consults with cardiologists.

      • Addresses cardiovascular medicine issues by representation to state health organizations, medical specialty society meetings and MedChi.
